Mutya ng Batangan 2011 Official Candidates’ First Public Appearance

Today, October 17, 2011 is probably the most beautiful day of the week as the 28 official candidates for the Mutya ng Batangan 2011 were presented in front of the crowd that gathered in the Provincial Auditorium.

They are the finest ladies all over Batangas who will all contend to be the Mutya ng Batangan 2011. The staging of the candidates was facilitated by pageant director Rodin Flores and his team. At 7am, the ladies had a brief rehearsal under Flores’ team as preparation for their first public appearance.

Present inside the auditorium were supporters of the candidates, town officials, tourism coordinators of the participating municipalities, and employees in the provincial capitol. A few minutes past 8am, Gov. Vilma Santos-Recto arrived in the venue for the flag ceremony and the of course, the highlight of the morning, the presentation of the Mutya ng Batangan 2011 candidates.

The screening took place within 18 days, until the people from the Provincial Tourism Office brought together the most deserving ladies who will complete this year’s line-up of candidates. It took the initial search 18 days before the final names of Mutya ng Batangan 2011 candidates were listed but it will took them barely two months to prove themselves before one of them will be judged as this year’s title holder.
